Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month Interviews
About The Project:

“In the same way that people’s bodies are remarkably and wonderfully varied, so are our brains.”

“There's a stereotype around autism being something that [only] white boys experience. [When] Black autistics do show up, people are quite surprised I guess. We're often perceived as being very angry, volatile, [and] dangerous. [Once] we add that to the stereotype of the aggressive Black person, it can be really dangerous.”

“It is not us who need to change; it’s the system.”
